If you’re considering buying a home constructed between 1970-1990, there’s a good chance that house has cast-iron water and sewer pipes.

Since cast iron has a 50-year lifecycle – at best, there’s an equally good chance those pipes have deteriorated. Many homeowners are not aware that they’re responsible for all underground sewer lines on the property. Don’t let sewer line leaks be an unwelcome housewarming present. Element uses a scope camera to go through the pipes and check that all drainage lines are free of blocks and damage. There is a small, additional cost for a main sewer line scope.
